]]> Moxy Hotel, Dublin – Leisure / Tourism over 10m

Our first finalist is the ‘Moxy Hotel’, Marriott International’s experiential hotel brand. The project was located at Sackville House, Dublin, in the heart of the city.

GTC Construction was given the task of redeveloping the existing 1970s 4-storey office block (3,281m2) to become a new 7-storey 157-bedroom hotel that meets the brand’s stylish and bold personality.

Employing innovative design techniques and utilising the existing structure, GTC Construction achieved significant efficiencies for our client in both time and cost. We also minimised the environmental impact by eliminating the additional land fill and environmental pollutants associated with unnecessary demolition.

]]> Deanrock Residential Development – Social & Affordable Housing over €10m

Our second finalist is Deanrock Residential Development situated on the outskirts of Cork City. This project consisted of the construction of a community facility, plus 65 residential units which is made up of 2, 3 and 4-bedroom houses, as well as a number of ground floor and 2-storey apartments.

Each unit was completed to the highest BER rating and state-of-the-art finishes. The works were carried out within a densely populated urban environment where traffic and pedestrian management was a key priority.

Located in the IDA National Technology Park, Limerick, the new IDA Ireland building contains a technology research and development floor, collaboration and administrative spaces, canteen, internal plant rooms, screened rooftop plant area and reception area.

This best in class digital facility will allow companies to adopt innovative digital technology in their manufacturing processes.

Project 1BQ Melbourne will include 110,000sqft of offices, 34 Luxury Apartments, 124 parking spaces as well as restoration of the original building. It is a great honor to work on a development that will be such an enhancement to Melbourne City.
